I made some wooden laser cut leaves. They tessellate together really rather beautifully.
The geometry of each leaf is rather pleasing, I drew the outline out in Geogebra using a rotation tool. The shape is based on a kite that tessellates to create a hexagon, some of the angles can be seen below. This allowed me to get the symmetry needed to tessellate the pieces. I then added some details to make them more visually appealing
